We’re Always Looking for

New Ways to Improve

We’ve incorporated the process of Lean/Six Sigma into all business flow. This means we are continuously reviewing our final outcomes to find ways to determine a better final state for our future processes and to reduce waste emissions. Through this process, we’ve saved approximately $500,000 and trained over 50% of our production team in Lean/Six Sigma practices.

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Government of Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge have also guided us as we take strides to support these goals, especially in terms of our work with non-profits, regulatory compliance, and environmental consciousness.

Food Bank Contributions

We donated 200 pounds of food in 2021 and plan to continue with our donations into 2022.

Alternative Energy Opportunities

We’ve reviewed opportunities for alternative energy, and hope that we can transition from electrical to thermal energy in the near future.

YOUCAN Youth Services

We’ve partnered with this organization to offer youth the opportunity to work at Davey Textile Solutions and expand their skillset in the workforce.

Regulatory Compliance

We exceed CSA Z96 and CGSB 155.20/155.22 requirements for Canada and ANSI 107 and NFPA 2112 in the United States. We’re reviewing ISO and EN standards to further our compliance for our customers. Many of our team members maintain membership on multiple global standards committees.

Near Net-Zero Impact

We’re proud to say that our materials have a near-zero impact on the environment. We’ve reviewed our chemical processes in addition to our fluid waste stream to identify the environmental impacts of both processes.
